WARNING

Do NOT attempt to learn this game unless you know the rules of American fooball and can play Quarterback

"This one is for adults. Forget the Friday night card game. Grab yourself a Bud, play Touchdown, and feel your heart rush like Marcus Allen."

Forward and lateral passing. Rushing. Field goals. Punts. Safeties. Fumbles. Blocking. Tackling. Interceptions. All are here in an intricate representation of American Football.

Four types of piece. The fast runners with a small blocking strength. The slow 'fridges' - "Get outta my way". The medium paced runners with medium blocking strength. The running-passing quarterback.

As complicated a game as the real thing.

A game of skill and luck.

"It's got as many rules as the real thing and a game takes forever, but put a day aside and go for it. Always keep the rules by your side to refer to the info about kicking and passing and fumbles. It take time but it's worth it."

"One thing has to be said. If you don't already know the rules of American Football don't even think about trying out this one."

"When the dice go against you it's heartbreaking"

"I love the element of luck in this game. My heart pounds a bit when I roll the dice. Just like the real thing, you can play well, and if the gods are against you still lose. But if you are the better player you'll win more than you lose."

Photograph And Description Of The Equipment

The board is a 1 square to 10 feet scale replica of the real thing and the game is seven a side. Notice the row of scrimmage marker, the 5 rows behind marker and the gain ten marker.

In touchdown it's just two downs to gain ten. A typical scrimmage is shown below.

The offensive formation is a centre, two guards, two split ends, a flankerback and a quarterback. The defensive formation is two tackles, two ends, two cornerbacks and a safety.
